Birth Photography & Films

As a first time parent, you research and want to know everything possible to be a successful parent.  There are so many unknowns about the newborn you will have in your home.  There's excitement and nervousness around the birth itself.  "Is it always as gory or horrible as shown on TV or your IG feed?" If you’ve given birth, you know the ebb and flow of the time. One moment, you feel calm and are laughing and the next moment you feel like “I can’t do this anymore” and in another moment, “I'm ready to be done.” Whether photographing a birth at Overlook Hospital in Summit, New Jersey, or a home water birth the time passed slowly and quickly. I was able to photograph moments of support and love that as parents they were not able to see.  It wasn’t until I read Wairimu’s Google review that I realized I’d been at the hospital documenting and photographing for 21 hours. Photographing the supportive methods of doula, Sarah Zadoyko and various doctors and nurses was totally worth my sleeplessness. Then month's later witnessing even Sarah's vulnerability and power as she gave birth to a her 3rd child was another priceless privilege. As a birth and newborn photographer in the New Brunswick area, I look forward to being a part of your birth plan.
